Digital Trends Media Group Welcomes Alfred Dual as New Head of People

PORTLAND, Ore., October 16, 2020-- Digital Trends Media Group, the award-winning Millennial-focused publishing brand and the world's largest independently owned technology publisher, announced today that the company’s Human Resource Director, Alfred Dual, has been promoted to Head of People.

Dual joined the team in July and has been working closely with the company’s executive team to elevate human resources processes in support of the publisher’s fast growth. Dual’s key initiatives include amplifying the company’s commitment to social responsibility with the brand’s industry-leading 7 Point Plan to Meaningfully Address Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; and working to refine systems for career pathing, training, ensuring pay equity and otherwise positively impacting the lives of employees and community members.

“We’re grateful to have Alfred expand upon the great work he’s already done as our new Head of People,” says Ian Bell, CEO of Digital Trends. “His investment in our team has been evident, and he’s already made an indelible impact on our culture.”

Dual brings years of human resources experience to Digital Trends Media Group and has worked with global brands, including Wyndham Hotels, Target, and most recently, Discogs, the world’s largest online music database.
